Money Hungry Leaders, and Sin Soaked Citizens
The leaders of our Country, States, Cities, and Counties are scrambling to establish Prosperity as the new god for the people. The golden calf is being paraded up and down the highways and byways of this once great nation. Once great, because it was a God fearing nation. Our leaders cry, “We will make America great again”. They are blind, leading a sin soaked Nation into darkness. God makes nations great, not man!
These purveyors of darkness cry, “Wealth, Happiness, Pleasure for everyone”. Come one, come all, eat, drink, and be merry. Let the good times roll. The Lottery, The Booze, The Drugs (Marijuana), and Sex. They promote gambling, so they can get more revenue (taxes), booze so they can get more revenue (taxes), Marijuana so they can get more revenue (taxes), consensual relationships outside marriage so they can please the people, homosexuality, so they can please the people, the list goes on, and on.
New Jersey is getting ready to allow the legal use of marijuana. The leaders of that State are salivating at the possible tax revenues.
Many so called conservative Christians think it is OK to drink a little, play the lottery, enter a drawing. The pulpits are silent, including the so called Fundamental Baptists. I am a Baptist, and most of them are no different then the liberal churches. Even the Pastors that say these things are wrong fold there hands and remain silent. They dare not preach against the dirty movies, drink, fornication, drugs, or lotteries. They are people pleases. Isaiah:58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Pastor, if you do not preach against sin you are not a Bible reader, or Bible believer, or you are afraid to preach against sin and directly disobedient to God’s Word!
If the Christian Pastor will not take a stand why should the pew take a stand. Pastors are satisfied to let the Christians in the church listen to a watered down message, go home, come back again, and repeat the process all over again week after week. Amos:8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD
If the Pastors of our Christian churches will not take a stand on the Bible, preach against sin, preach on soul winning (Preaching the Gospel), not just passing out little tracts or inviting people to church, why should we expect our leaders to do it? Next time you wonder why people join cults, isms, and lodges remember this, they stand for something. It may be the wrong thing they stand for but it is attractive to people that someone takes a stand, and keeps on standing. Luke:18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? The church is sick. Is there a preacher in the house?
